Rupert Gammon

Rupert Gammon is an Associate Professor at De Montfort University, where the focus is on high-impact, applied research and teaching addressing the climate crisis and its societal and environmental challenges. Prior to this role, Rupert served as a Senior Research Fellow, contributing to research on Smart Grids and participating in the CASCADE project related to complexity science and the smart grid concept. Rupert's past experience includes serving as Director at Bryte Energy Ltd, leading engineering consultancy efforts in low-carbon energy systems and advocating for energy storage solutions, particularly hydrogen integration. Additionally, as Director at Bryte Design Ltd, Rupert oversaw technical design services in various industries, while earlier experience as CAD Manager at Hutton & Rostron Ltd involved innovative architectural monitoring and environmental systems development. Rupert holds a PhD in Hydrogen & Renewable Energy System Integration and advanced degrees in Renewable Energy Systems Technology and 3D Industrial Design.
