Gary Sacks

Gary Sacks is a Professor of Public Health Policy at Deakin University, where Gary has served since January 2011, also holding the position of Director of the Global Centre for Preventive Health and Nutrition (GLOBE) and is recognized as an NHMRC Emerging Leadership Fellow. Sacks has held multiple roles at GLOBE, including Associate Professor and Senior Research Fellow, and previously worked at the World Health Organization as an intern. Sacks completed a Doctor of Philosophy in Public Health from Deakin University and has held visiting research fellowships at prestigious institutions such as Harvard University and the University of Oxford. Prior professional experience includes roles as a Health Policy Analyst for the Northern Territory Department of Health and Community Services and a Senior Consultant at Deloitte Australia. Sacks holds degrees in Health Informatics, Information Systems, and Commerce from Monash University and the University of Melbourne.
