Mike Powell

Mike Powell is a seasoned cricket professional with extensive experience in both playing and coaching. Since January 2017, Mike has served as the Director of Cricket at Dean Close School. Prior to this, an account executive role at Thomas Carroll Group plc was held from October 2013 to December 2016. Mike's professional playing career spanned from March 1995 to October 2013 with Glamorgan CCC and Kent CCC, where over 13,000 first-class runs were scored since debuting in 1997. Notable achievements include a highest score of 200 not out on debut for Glamorgan, a remarkable 299 in an innings—ranking as the second-highest individual score in the club's history—and participation in tours with England A in 2004/2005. Additionally, Mike was called up for an England one-day home series in 2004. Educational foundations were established at Crickhowell High School and Pontypool College.
