Eric Steckling

Eric Steckling currently serves as the Director of Communications for Deerfield Public Schools District 109, a position held since July 2020. Prior to this role, Eric held various key positions in the media industry, including Assistant News Director and Executive Producer at WDJT CBS 58 from October 2014 to March 2020, where responsibilities included managing an editorial staff and overseeing daily news coverage. Experience also includes significant roles at Harvard University, WHDH-TV, WLOS TV Channel 13, WICD-TV, Big Ten Network, and WGN Radio, focusing on news production, social media management, and live event direction. Eric holds a master's and bachelor's degree in Broadcast Journalism from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign.
