Larry Van Stone has over 30 years of experience across various roles in database management, software development, and education. Currently employed as a Database and Mollusk Specialist at the Delaware Museum of Natural History since February 2013, Larry also engages in mollusk research as a volunteer and has experience in public interpretation. Prior to this, Larry worked at DuPont from June 1995 to January 2013 as a Senior IS Specialist, focusing on data analysis and document conceptualization. Larry served as Music Faculty at the Darlington Arts Center from 2001 to 2013, teaching guitar and banjo. Earlier, Larry was a Senior Computer Scientist at Conoco from March 1986 to May 1995, specializing in geological modeling and seismic applications. Larry holds a Master’s degree in Geological Engineering from South Dakota Mines and a Bachelor’s degree in Geology from California State University, Los Angeles.
