Charlisa Holloway Edelin, J.D., currently serves as Co-Director of Legal Studies, Associate Professor, and Department Chairwoman at Delaware State University since August 2019. Prior to this role, Charlisa was Vice President of the Appoquinimink School District, overseeing a $31 million budget and managing over 1,000 employees for a diverse student population of 16,000 from July 2012 to July 2021. Charlisa also contributed to Wesley College as an Associate Professor from August 2012 to August 2019, where courses in pre-law and criminal justice were developed and taught, including the creation of criminal justice degree programs. Educational achievements include a Juris Doctor from Howard University School of Law and participation in the Aspiring Leaders Program for Minority Serving Institutions at Rutgers University.
