Hamish Jolly is the Executive Chair and Co-Founder of Delorean, a company that specializes in the design and manufacture of electric vehicles. Prior to their current position, Jolly was the Program Leader for North West Australia at the Australian Institute of Marine Science (AIMS). In this role, they were responsible for conducting strategic and applied research into marine life, from microbes to whole-ecosystem studies, and the processes that sustain them. Hamish also monitored the condition of, and trends in, the marine environment, and developed models and decision-support tools to help users interpret the data collected by AIMS.
Jolly has a passion for environmental protection and sustainable development, and their work at AIMS was focused on supporting the sustainable development of coastal industries and ports across northern Australia. Hamish was also instrumental in providing the environmental baselines and condition and risk assessments required for the development of the offshore oil and gas industry in north-western Australia.
Jolly’s experience in marine science and environmental management makes him uniquely qualified to lead Delorean in its mission to create electric vehicles that are environmentally friendly and sustainable. Under their leadership, Delorean has become a leading innovator in the electric vehicle industry, and has won numerous awards for its cutting-edge designs and technologies.
Hamish Jolly studied a Bachelor of Business at Curtin University, majoring in Business Law and Accounting. Hamish also undertook their metriculation at Christ Church Grammar School. Hamish is a member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors and the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Australia and New Zealand.
