Elizabeth Seger

Elizabeth Seger is an accomplished professional in the fields of digital policy, artificial intelligence, and the philosophy of science and technology. Currently serving as the Director of Digital Policy at Demos since February 2024, Elizabeth also holds a position as a Research Affiliate with the AI: Futures and Responsibility Project at the University of Cambridge, where collaboration focuses on the societal implications of modern information technologies. Previously, Elizabeth worked as a Research Scholar at the Centre for the Governance of AI, investigating AI's impact on knowledge operations, and was a Student Fellow at the Leverhulme Centre for the Future of Intelligence, exploring ethics and policy related to AI. With a robust educational background, including a PhD from the University of Cambridge, Elizabeth’s expertise spans across multiple domains, including the ethics of AI in medicine and finance, and the intersection of science and policy.
