Gemma Smith

Gemma Smith is a Senior Policy Analyst at the Department of Premier and Cabinet (Tas), focusing on enhancing right to information capabilities across the Tasmanian State Service since January 2023. Previously, Gemma served as a Senior Policy and Project Officer, providing strategic policy advice and research to the Premier and Cabinet. Prior roles include Policy Analyst at the Department of State Growth, where Gemma contributed to the Automated Traffic Enforcement Project, and Policy and Project Officer at the Department of Natural Resources and Environment Tasmania, assisting in project delivery and strategic policy advice. Gemma also began a career as a Cadet, supporting various legal and policy functions. Gemma holds a Graduate Diploma of Legal Practice from The College of Law Australia and a Bachelor of Laws and Bachelor of Psychological Science with First Class Honours from the University of Tasmania.
