Lauren Johnston

Lauren Johnston is a Senior Policy Advisor and Foreign Affairs Officer at the U.S. Department of State since April 2022. With a diverse background in international relations and security policy, Lauren served as Operations Director at Patronus Medical LLC and held various roles at VIGILINT, focusing on global health protection. A former Frank Anderson Military Legislative Fellow for Senator Donnelly, Lauren contributed to national security legislation and policy research. Additionally, Lauren has experience in risk analysis, journalism, and project management, holding a Master’s degree in International Security from Sciences Po and educational qualifications in history and international studies from Northwestern University and Clemson University.
