Maria "Clara" Sherwood is currently a Pathways Intern focused on program analysis at the U.S. Department of State, with previous experience as a New Voices on Nuclear Weapons Fellow at the Federation of American Scientists and as a Libya Aviation Security Intern at Culmen International. Clara has served as a Fulbright English Teaching Assistant in Morocco and held various positions at the U.S. Libyan Embassy External Office, including Intern Team Lead and Research Intern, where responsibilities included synthesizing information on violence against environmental activists. Additional roles include a Democracy Fellow with Campus Vote Project and mentoring first-year students at Washington & Jefferson College. Clara is pursuing a Master of Arts in International Affairs at The George Washington University and holds a Bachelor's degree in International Studies from Washington & Jefferson College.
