Melissa Ullom

Melissa Ullom is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in nonproliferation and security policy. Currently serving as a Senior Advisor at the U.S. Department of State since July 2022, Melissa previously worked as an independent contractor focusing on issues related to weapons of mass destruction (WMD), arms control, and open source intelligence from April 2021 to July 2022. Prior roles include Deputy Director of the Open Nuclear Network and Director of the Datayo Project at One Earth Future Foundation, as well as Senior Research Associate and Adjunct Professor at the Middlebury Institute of International Studies at Monterey. Education credentials include a Master of International Affairs in International Security Policy from Columbia University, a Nonproliferation Studies Certificate from the Middlebury Institute, and a Bachelor of Arts in International Affairs from The Johns Hopkins University.
