Samuel Stehle

Samuel Stehle is a Data Scientist at the U.S. Department of State since August 2021, previously serving as an Operations Research Analyst at FEMA Region 3, where Samuel co-designed a Power BI dashboard for mitigation activities. Academic experience includes a Postdoctoral Researcher position at Maynooth University, focusing on dashboard design, open data management, and co-authoring articles on various data-related topics. Samuel has also instructed at Penn State University while pursuing a PhD in Geography, holding roles such as instructor, teaching assistant, IGERT trainee, and research assistant. Additional experience includes internships and research positions at Oak Ridge National Laboratory, and a GIS Analyst role at DIGIT Lab. Samuel's educational background comprises a PhD and MS in Geography from Penn State University and a BS in Geography from the University of Utah.
