Vedant Patel

Vedant Patel currently serves as Principal Deputy Spokesperson for the U.S. Department of State since June 2022. Prior to this role, Patel held positions such as Assistant Press Secretary at The White House and Spokesperson for both the 59th Presidential Inaugural Committee and the Biden-Harris Transition Team in early 2021. Additional experience includes serving as Regional Communications Director for Biden for President and Communications Director for Congresswoman Pramila Jayapal. Patel has also worked as Regional Press Secretary for the Democratic National Committee and Communications Director for Mike Honda's congressional campaign. Educational background includes a Bachelor of Science in Biology from the University of California, Riverside, and an MBA from the University of Florida's Warrington College of Business.
