Adam Gelber is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in environmental management and restoration initiatives. Currently serving as the Director of the Office of Everglades Restoration Initiatives at the U.S. Department of the Interior since November 2018, Adam coordinates key restoration efforts in collaboration with federal and non-federal partners. Previously, Adam contributed to the Water Resources Analysis Coalition at SFWMD, promoting public participation in water resource decision-making from July 2013 to November 2018. Adam also held the position of Environmental Regulation Commissioner at the Florida Department of Environmental Protection, where responsibilities included setting standards related to air pollution, water quality, and waste management from October 2011 to November 2018. Prior experience includes roles as Sr Manager/Sr Scientist at Atkins North America and Remedial Action Coordinator at SECOR International. Adam began their career in environmental science at Biscayne National Park and holds a B.S. in Wildland and Wildlife Management from the University of Miami.
