Shem Garlett

Shem Garlett is an experienced policy officer with a strong background in community development and Indigenous strategy. Currently serving as a Senior Policy Officer at the Department of Training and Workforce Development since March 2023, Garlett previously held roles such as Aboriginal Strategy Manager at the Department of Mines, Industry Regulation and Safety and Senior Policy Officer at the same department. Prior experiences include management of the Prison Support Service at the Department of Corrective Services, as well as roles in human resources and policy development within various departments. Garlett holds a Bachelor of Arts in Community Development from Murdoch University and has a significant history of employment in both governmental and industrial sectors.
