Carol Smith has extensive experience in university information services, currently serving as Chief Information Officer at DePauw University since August 1994. In this role, Carol leads IT strategic planning and innovative technology efforts that align with the university's mission and vision. Previous positions at DePauw include Associate CIO for Instructional and Learning Services, Director of Instructional and Learning Services, and Coordinator of User Services and Computing Labs, each contributing to the development and support of academic computing and instructional technology. Prior to DePauw, Carol worked as a Computer Programmer/Analyst at Indiana University School of Medicine and as an Assistant Software Engineer at Nuclear Measurements Corporation.
