Thanassis Drivas

Thanassis Drivas is an experienced Earth observation data engineer at the National Observatory of Athens since October 2017, specializing in the design and development of back-end GeoApps utilizing Python, Big Data, and Machine Learning. In addition to this role, Thanassis serves as a Computer Science IB Teacher at The American College of Greece and has worked as a Career Counselor with Karakaksis Educational Organization since September 2010. Previous positions include Computer Science and STEM Teacher at Politropi armonia private school, Professor of Computer Science at various institutions including On-line Education arnos.gr, Alpha Πληροφορική, and City Unity College, as well as roles as a Computer Science Teacher and Web Developer. Thanassis holds a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science from Athens University of Economics and Business, and a Master's Degree in Space Science Technology and Applications from the University of Peloponnese.
