Karl Iagnemma

Karl Iagnemma is the current advisor at Derq. Karl has also served as the president and CEO of Motional, Hyundai-Aptiv Autonomous Driving Joint Venture, and Aptiv. Iagnemma is also the CEO and co-founder of nuTonomy. Karl has also worked as a principal research scientist at Massachusetts Institute of Technology and as a guest professor at Halmstad University. Iagnemma has also been a visiting researcher at National Technical University of Athens.

Karl Iagnemma has a Ph.D. from MIT in Robotics, which they obtained in 2001. Karl also has a Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Michigan, which they obtained in 1994. In between their time at MIT and the University of Michigan, they attended Trinity College Dublin, where they studied Applied Mathematics and Fiction Writing.
