Matthew Clarke is an experienced professional in urban planning and public space advocacy. Currently serving as an Adjunct Lecturer at Macaulay Honors College and the Executive Director of the Design Trust for Public Space, Clarke works to enhance New York City's civic spaces through impactful research and collaborative initiatives. Previously held positions include National Director of Creative Placemaking at The Trust for Public Land, Senior Associate at SHoP Architects, Capital Project Manager at the New York Department of Cultural Affairs, and Graduate Intern at the Mayor's Office in Lexington, KY. Clarke's educational background includes a Master of Architecture and a Certificate in Urban Planning and Policy from Princeton University, as well as a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Kentucky.
