Brian Tufts

Brian Tufts is an Associate at DeSimone’s Plainville office. He offers a robust combined structural engineering and design project management experience in

a broad range of commercial, industrial, and institutional projects, for both new construction and major structural renovations.

He specializes in structural steel, concrete, wood, and masonry structures. His strengths include developing cost-effective structural designs, developing practical solutions to structural problems, and coordinating structural designs with other disciplines. Other experience includes performing structural evaluations of existing buildings.

His recent projects include project management and structural lead of a 225,000 sf, 36 MW, steel-framed data center with exterior precast panels in Chicago, IL; fit-out of a new 100,000 sf steel-framed pharmaceutical manufacturing facility in Bedford, MA; and a new 50,000 sf biopharmaceutical lab facility in Milford, MA that utilizes long-span steel fabricated trusses to provide a column-free interior floor plate.

Mr. Tufts has a Bachelor of Architectural Engineering degree in Structural Engineering from Pennsylvania State University.
