Nigel Forsyth

Nigel Forsyth is a seasoned professional in mining engineering with extensive experience spanning over two decades. Currently serving as a Senior Mining Consultant at Deswik since August 2019, Nigel previously held various senior roles at Rio Tinto from May 2005 to February 2019, including Senior Mining Engineer and Superintendent Mine Planning, where responsibilities included mine plan integration, data analysis, and long-term optimization. Prior experience includes positions at OneSteel, where Nigel managed mine planning and scheduling, and St. Barbara Mines, where essential surveying tasks were performed. Nigel's educational foundation includes a Bachelor of Mining Engineering from Curtin University, attained between 1996 and 2000.
