Benjamin Derksen

Benjamin Derksen is an Information Specialist at Det Kgl. Bibliotek (Royal Danish Library) since November 2021, focusing on library service, partnerships, and FAIR-ifying research data. Responsibilities include teaching, Open Access publishing, and managing research metadata registration, along with leading a work package for the Skills for the European Open Science Cloud project. Prior experience includes serving as a Graduate Student Library Assistant at Scholars Portal, where Benjamin rendered Canadian government survey data accessible to researchers, and multiple roles at John P. Robarts Research Library, assisting patrons and managing government documents. Benjamin has also worked at Oxford University Press Canada as a Bilingual Customer Service Representative, Editor, and Market Researcher. Educational qualifications include a Master of Information from the University of Toronto, a Master of Arts from York University, and a Bachelor of Arts from Carleton University.
