Hamid OUAMARA

R&D - Head of Global Competence Center at Detection Technology

Hamid Ouamara has diverse work experience spanning both technical and leadership roles. Hamid currently serves as the Head of Global Competence Center at Detection Technology since January 2022. In this position, they implement Agile/Scrum methodology, coaches team members, and develops their expertise. Hamid is also responsible for research on new technologies, product specification, and participation in conferences and seminars. Hamid proposes innovation projects, conducts feasibility studies, manages patents, and reviews test results. Additionally, they scan the market for potential suppliers and partners, trains customers, and presents technical publications at workshops and conferences.

Prior to their current role, from January 2020 to January 2022, Hamid worked as an R&D Manager at Detection Technology. During this time, they implemented the Agile/Scrum methodology, coached team members, and served as a technical referent for research on new technologies and product specification.

Before joining Detection Technology, Hamid worked as a Senior R&D Engineer at EOS Imaging from 2013 to 2020. In this role, they were a scientific and technical expert of products, trained new users, and served as an internal referee for questions related to benefit/risk and clinical performance.

Hamid's career began in 2009 when they worked as a PhD student in Medical Physics at the Centre de Physique des Particules de Marseille (CNRS-IN2P3). Hamid'sthesis focused on the comparison of photon counting versus charge integration micro-CT for biomedical imaging. Hamid explored the contribution of hybrid pixel technology and its potential for low dose biomedical imaging.

In addition to their studies, Hamid also worked as a Teaching Assistant at Aix-Marseille Université - Faculté Luminy from 2009 to 2012.

Hamid Ouamara earned their Master's degree in Signals and Images in Medicine from Université Paris-Est Créteil in 2007-2008. Hamid continued their education at the same institution and obtained a Master 2 (M2) degree in Signals and Images in Medicine in 2008-2009. Following that, they pursued a PhD in Medical Imaging at Aix-Marseille University from 2009-2012, specializing in Physique-Instrumentation.
