Chinonye Akunne

Chinonye Akunne is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in health, safety, and sustainability, currently serving as a Board Member and Onboarding Chairperson for the Founders Junior Council at the Detroit Institute of Arts since February 2023. In prior roles at Goldman Sachs as a mentor, Caravan Facilities Management as Director of Environment Health Safety & Sustainability, and various advisory positions in organizations focused on arts education and consumer goods, Chinonye has demonstrated exceptional leadership and strategic guidance. Educational background includes a Master of Public Health in Environmental Health and a Bachelor’s degree in Sociology and Physical Sciences from Eastern Kentucky University.
