Laura Hernandez-Romine is the current Director at Detroit Symphony Orchestra. Laura has held this position since February 2019. Prior to their current role, Laura was the Global Director, Global Media Operations, Branded Entertainment, and Diversity Marketing at General Motors from April 2015 to February 2019. In this role, Laura was responsible for the industry-leading governance of GM's $2 billion annual global media budget, as well as their branded entertainment and diversity marketing initiatives.
Before joining General Motors, Laura was the SVP, Head of Multicultural at Carat from September 2010 to September 2012. In this role, they oversaw all agency clients with a focus on multicultural marketing. Laura then spent two years as the VP, Connections Director, SMG Multicultural, P&G at Starcom from January 2008 to August 2010. In this role, they led communications planning for P&G categories including health, beauty, and home care.
Laura Hernandez-Romine has a Master of Arts in International Business and Latin American Studies from the University of Miami, and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Sciences from Universidad de Puerto Rico.
