Laura Secorun

Laura Secorun is a seasoned professional in communications and journalism, currently serving as Co-Founder and Managing Director of ONA since June 2019, a company focused on enhancing public awareness of oceanic issues through scientific education and documentary filmmaking. Secorun is also a member of the Greentech Alliance and previously held the position of Director of Communications for the "One Planet One Ocean" sailing team during the Vendée Globe race. As a former Sub-Saharan Correspondent for Diario ABC and an independent investigative journalist, Secorun covered critical issues such as election fraud, refugee crises, and climate change across various East African countries. Educational credentials include a Master's degree in International Journalism from City, University of London, a Diploma in Systems Thinking from Cornell University, and multiple degrees related to international relations and political sciences from respected institutions.
