Marcela Carballo

Marcela Carballo is a seasoned communications professional with extensive experience in international development and project management. Currently serving as a Senior Communications Officer at Creative Associates International, Marcela leads communication strategies for the USAID/OTI Central America Regional Initiative. Previous roles include positions at Save the Children International, where Marcela managed projects aimed at combating COVID-19, and as an Independent Consultant focusing on risk communication in Latin America. Additional experience includes working for NIRAS International Consulting and the Rural Adelante Program of the Ministry of Agriculture, where Marcela contributed to capacity building and communication strategy implementation. Marcela holds a Bachelor's degree in Communication Sciences with a focus on Organizational Communication from Universidad Dr. José Matías Delgado, graduating with honors.
