Aidan Cronin

Aidan Cronin is an experienced diplomat currently serving as the Director for the Irish Abroad at the Department of Foreign Affairs, Ireland, since September 2022. Previous roles include Ambassador of Ireland at the Embassy of Ireland in Abu Dhabi and Director of The Americas within the Department of Foreign Affairs & Trade. Aidan has also held positions such as Director of Press Relations, Consul General in Chicago, Private Secretary to the Minister for Foreign Affairs, Deputy Head of Mission in Canberra and Tehran, and Second Secretary in Beijing. Aidan's educational background includes obtaining a Solicitor degree from the Incorporated Law Society of Ireland and a Bachelor of Civil Laws from University College Cork.
