Markus Diehl

Markus Diehl is currently a Board Member at Diehl Group. Prior to this, they were a Senior Analyst and Team Head at Portigon Financial Services from July 2012 to June 2016. In this role, they were responsible for credit analysis and country risk analysis. Before that, they worked at WestLB AG from October 2001 to June 2012 as a Senior Analyst in the Credit Risk Management department. In this role, they were responsible for country risk analysis and validation of rating methods. Markus also participated in Bundesbank audits (Basle II). Prior to that, they worked as a Research Fellow at Institut fur Weltwirtschaft an der Universitat Kiel from March 1990 to September 2001, where they conducted applied economic research in the areas of trade policy, exchange rate policy and system transformation. Markus also authored several expert reports and scientific publications.

Markus Diehl has a Diplom in VWL, Ökonometrie from The University of Göttingen. Markus is also certified from the Global Association of Risk Professionals in Financial Risk Manager.
