Joshua Boger

Joshua Boger serves as the Chair of the Board of Directors at Alkeus Pharmaceuticals, Inc. and CervoMed, and has been a prominent figure in the pharmaceutical industry since founding Vertex Pharmaceuticals Incorporated in 1989, where Joshua held the role of CEO until 2009 and remained a board member until 2017. Additionally, Joshua Boger has served as Executive Chairman of Alkeus Pharmaceuticals from 2012 to 2016 and has held directorship roles at various non-profits and Millennium Pharmaceuticals. Their extensive background in pharmaceuticals is complemented by a robust academic foundation, including a Ph.D. and M.A. in Chemistry from Harvard University and a Bachelor's degree in Chemistry and Philosophy from Wesleyan University. Prior to founding Vertex, Joshua Boger held senior positions at Merck Sharp & Dohme Research Laboratories.
