Deborah Colville

Deborah Colville is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in innovation, digital strategy, and education governance. Currently serving as the Honorary Professor of Practice at the School of Mechanical Engineering & Aerospace and the Director of the National Digital Twin Centre at Digital Catapult, Colville has a significant background in urban and digital planning, having held multiple leadership positions at Belfast City Council from 1982 to 2023, including Head of the City Innovation Office. Additionally, as the Chair of the Board of Governors at Rathmore Primary School for the past three years, Colville has actively managed HR, compliance, and curriculum development for a large student body. Colville also served as a UK Board member at the BSI Cities Standards Institute and holds a Master's degree in Information Management from Ulster University, obtained between 1997 and 2001.
