Robert Learney

Robert Learney is the Chief Technical Officer for Blockchain & DLT at Digital Catapult. Robert has extensive experience in the field, having co-founded both Microsonix Ltd. and Sandblocks Ltd. Robert was also an Associate Director at Imperial College Centre for Cryptocurrency Research and Engineering, and a PhD Researcher at Imperial College London. Prior to their work in blockchain technology, they were a Clinical Research Fellow in Neurosurgery at King's College London.

Robert Learney has a PhD in Biomedical/Medical Engineering from Imperial College London. Robert also has a Master's degree in Biomedical/Medical Engineering from Imperial College London, as well as a Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) from the same school. Additionally, they have a degree in Physiological Sciences from the University of Oxford, and they completed their International Baccalaureate at Jakarta Intercultural School.
