Corlé Steenkamp

Cynthia Corl is an experienced educator and resource counselor with a focus on language teaching and support for individuals with developmental disabilities. As a Teaching Assistant at the University of California, Los Angeles from September 2021 to June 2022, Cynthia instructed Japanese language discussion classes and provided individualized support to students. Prior experience includes serving as an Independent Living Services Resource Counselor at New Horizons Creel Industries, where Cynthia managed cases for clients with developmental disabilities, helping them achieve personal goals related to employment and various support services. Cynthia's background also includes a role as a server at Onyasai in Tokyo during a study abroad program, facilitating language immersion and workplace experience. Cynthia holds a Master of Arts in East Asian Studies from UCLA and a degree in Japanese and Slavic Languages and Literature from UC Santa Barbara.
