Maria Xalabarder Aulet

Maria Xalabarder Aulet is the current manager of housing services, urbanism, and activities at Diputació de Barcelona. Maria has over twenty years of experience in urban planning and strategy consulting. Prior to their current position, they were a researcher at Universitat de Barcelona, where they worked on inventorying elements of Barcelona's landscape of interest. Maria also taught courses on urban planning and territory planning at Universitat de Barcelona. From 2000 to 2003, they worked as an editor for GEOPLANETA - ACTIMEDIA, publishing travel guides, atlases, and multimedia products. In 2004, they joined Mcrit as a consultant specializing in urbanism and strategic planning. Maria has also worked as a consultant for CIEU-INITS S.A. - BORAKASI. Maria Xalabarder Aulet has a strong background in both research and practical applications of urban planning principles.

Maria Xalabarder Aulet has a degree in Geography from the University of Barcelona, a degree in Geography and Landscape Architecture from the Universidad de Montreal, a degree in EUCITY I: "Transforming cities and places. Comparing European Case-studies" from the Università di Bologna / University of Bologna, and a degree in Geographical Information Systems from Utrecht University. Maria also has a degree in Landscape Architecture from the Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya.
