Alice Lai

Alice Lai currently serves as the Director of Partnerships and Client Development and Performance Coach at District Management Group since February 2021. An independent education consultant and leadership coach, Alice has been providing specialized services since July 2019. Previously, Alice was the Founding Principal at KIPP LA Schools from June 2013 to June 2019, and also held the position of Fisher Fellow at KIPP Foundation in 2013-2014. Prior experience includes serving as the Assistant School Leader and Instructional Specialist/Master Teacher at KIPP Los Angeles College Preparatory School, as well as a Teaching Policy Fellow at Teach Plus. Earlier roles include a 4th Grade Teacher at Gabriella Charter School and the Los Angeles Unified School District. Alice holds a Masters of Education in Administration from UCLA Graduate School of Education and another Masters in Elementary Education from the same institution, along with a Bachelor of Arts in History and Education from the University of California, Berkeley.
