Haruka Ichikawa, EIT, is a Transportation Engineer in Training currently employed at DKS Associates since June 2021. Previously, Haruka served as a Graduate Student Instructor in the UC Berkeley Physics Department, teaching introductory physics and creating educational materials. Haruka gained research experience as an Undergraduate Student Researcher at the University of California, Berkeley, contributing to transportation studies and producing writing for academic reports. Additionally, as a Research Intern with the Transportation Sustainability Research Center, Haruka focused on shared mobility systems and authored technical documents for federally funded projects. Earlier internships included roles at AECOM, where design tasks and technical writing for Bay Area transportation projects were performed. Haruka also contributed as an Orientation Mentor for UC Berkeley, fostering leadership skills among orientation leaders and assisting in welcoming new students. Haruka holds a Master of Science in Transportation Engineering and a Bachelor of Science in Civil and Environmental Engineering from the University of California, Berkeley.
