Guillermo Requena

Guillermo Requena serves as Vice Director of the Institute of Materials Research at the Deutsches Zentrum für Luft-und Raumfahrt e.V. since January 2015, where also holds the title of Head of the Department of Metals and Hybrid Materials. In addition, Guillermo Requena is a professor at RWTH Aachen University, specializing in metallic structures and materials systems for aerospace engineering. Research focuses on microstructure-properties relationships in structural alloys. Educational qualifications include a Dr. techn. in Werkstofftechnik from Technische Universität Wien and an Engineer's degree in Industrial Engineering - Electrotechnics from Universidad Nacional del Comahue.
