Ramona Cox

Ramona Cox, Ph.D., serves as the Director of the Champions Network at Doc Wayne Youth Services, Inc., where responsibility includes overseeing trauma-informed, sport-based therapy training and professional credentialing. Ramona is actively involved with RISE as a facilitator and has been the Head Girls Varsity Volleyball Coach at Cass Technical High School since 2014. Previously, an Associate Athletic Director at Detroit PAL, Ramona managed volleyball and softball leagues, teaching IMPACT coaches training to over 150 volunteer coaches annually. Ramona's extensive background includes research on barriers to girls' sport participation at Michigan State University and program coordination roles within Highland Park School District. Educational credentials include a Ph.D. in Sport Psychology/Sport Sociology from Michigan State University and an Executive Certificate in Sports Philanthropy from Georgetown University.
