Franco Pontillo

Franco Pontillo is a General Partner at DOMO Invest. Franco has over twenty years of experience in the financial and technology industries.

Pontillo began their career in 1997 as a partner at Tecna Engenharia e Projetos Ltda, a Brazilian engineering and construction firm. In 1999, they co-founded e-Platform, an early stage venture capital fund. Franco served as the Vice President of BuscaPé from 2004 to 2006 and as a Partner at BuscaTRIP from 2008 to 2009.

In 2006, Pontillo founded El Area Ventures, a venture capital firm focused on investments in Latin America. Franco served as the CEO of El Area Ventures from 2006 to 2017. During their tenure, the firm made investments in over 50 companies in 12 different countries.

Pontillo has been a General Partner at DOMO Invest since 2017. DOMO Invest is a venture capital firm that invests in early stage companies in the consumer and enterprise sectors.

Franco Pontillo's educational career began at the University Center of FEI, where they studied HFC Networks. Franco then attended INATEL Instituto Nacional de Telecomunicações, where they studied English. Finally, they attended Anglia Ruskin University, where they studied Business Administration.
