Michael Donaldson

Michael Donaldson serves as the Executive Chairman and Deputy Chairman of Donaldson Group, a family of businesses focused on timber processing, manufacturing, merchanting, and distribution, with a legacy dating back to 1860. In addition, Michael holds membership at YPO and previously worked as Commercial Director and Commercial Manager at MGM Timber (Scotland) Ltd, which is recognized as Scotland’s largest independent timber merchant. Past roles also include General Manager at James Donaldson Timber Ltd, a leading timber importer and distributor in the UK, and General Manager for the Scottish Division at Donaldson Timber Engineering, a top designer and manufacturer of structural timber products. Michael holds a Master’s Degree in Timber Industry Management from Edinburgh Napier University and a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Studies from Robert Gordon University.
