Craig joined Douglas Partners Rock Mechanics Sydney team in 2016 and works in the capacity of a Geotechnical Engineer in a consulting environment servicing the civil and mining industries predominantly.
He has extensive computer modelling analysis and interpretation skills with a high level of transferable knowledge and understanding in geotechnical and hydrogeological assessment and conceptualisation in relation to deep excavations and underground coal mining.
Craigs responsibilities largely include numerical modelling and ground condition interpretation of deep excavations and underground excavations as well as instrumentation and monitoring. He also has a thorough understanding of the mechanics of soil/rock material response in a range of stress environments. He values innovation and is continually looking to find better ways to assist in carrying out various work tasks or to use alternative methods of capturing and using data from borehole drilling and testing as well as when carrying out tunnel dilapidation surveys.
In 2021 his contribution to engineering excellence was acknowledges in his achievement of Chartered Professional Engineer (CP Eng) status from Engineers Australia and in 2022, was appointed as an Associate Geotechnical Engineer at Douglas Partners.
