Philip Hyma

Philip Hyma, P.E. is a seasoned civil engineer with extensive experience in project management and engineering roles across various organizations. Currently serving as a Staff Engineer II for the Village of Downers Grove, Illinois, since October 2022, Philip supports capital construction projects through planning, permitting, and design activities. Previous experience includes Project Engineer for the City of Lockport, where responsibilities encompassed liaising with developers and conducting site inspections, as well as serving as Project Manager at R. Carlson & Sons, Inc., focusing on project estimation, scheduling, and budget management. Philip's foundational experience includes roles as a Construction Manager and Research Assistant, supplemented by an internship with CN. Philip holds a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign and possesses various safety certifications.
