Mike Orzolek

Mike Orzolek possesses extensive experience in the field of horticulture and plant science, currently serving as a Consultant at Douglas Plant Health since March 2019. As Prof Emeritus of Olericulture at the Plant Science Department of Penn State, a position held since July 2012, Mike continues to contribute to academic research. Additionally, Mike has been the Director of Research and Development for Horticultural Crops at Stoller USA since July 2012, where involvement includes conducting field research on the effects of Stoller products on vegetable crop production. Previous experience includes serving as a Vegetable Extension Specialist at The Pennsylvania State University from September 1981 to June 2012, focusing on environmental modifications for vegetable crop production and specialty crops, and as an Extension Vegetable Specialist at the University of Delaware from August 1974 to August 1981. Mike Orzolek earned a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Horticulture/Botany from the University of Maryland between 1971 and 1974.
