Martin Maina

Martin Maina is an accomplished venture builder and angel investor with extensive experience in the startup and media sectors. Currently serving as a Venture Builder at Nation Media Group, Martin leads corporate venture building and investment activities focusing on Africa-focused content and media technology ventures. Martin also holds the position of Investor Accelerator Venture Fellow at Dream VC, where rigorous venture capital education is provided. Active as an angel investor with the Nairobi Business Angel Network, Martin invests in early-stage African startups. Previously, Martin developed innovative products to address food waste at Falmouth Launchpad and served as Chief Operating Officer at Paid Africa during a tenure with Antler. As the Founder and General Manager of Desserts Anyone KE, Martin established a successful food processing firm specializing in guilt-free chocolate. Early career experience includes an Assistant Manager role at Minas Fast Food Franchise. Martin holds a Master of Science in Entrepreneurship from Falmouth University and a Bachelor's degree in International Business Administration from United States International University - Africa.
