Amit Mehta

Amit Mehta currently serves as the Chief Operating Officer and Chief Business Officer at Dren Bio, Inc. since October 2023. Prior to this, Amit held various leadership roles at Genentech from 2006 to 2024, including Vice President and Head of Business Development, where responsibilities encompassed leading business development efforts in Neuroscience, Ophthalmology, and Rare Diseases, resulting in notable partnerships with organizations such as Atalanta Therapeutics and UCB. Amit also directed a global cross-functional team for a Phase III ophthalmology program, led the Bispecifics Steering Committee, and managed a range of positions focused on bioprocess development and technical strategy. Amit obtained a B.E. in Chemical Engineering from Bangalore University and a Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering from Penn State University, supplemented by research experience at the Indian Institute of Science.
