Captain Hemant Gupta FNI is a seasoned maritime professional with extensive experience in port operations and management. Currently serving as Deputy Director and Principal Consultant at Drewry Shipping Consultants Ltd since May 2019, Captain Gupta previously held the position of Assistant Vice President for Port Operations at Jurong Port in Singapore from April 2011 to April 2019. Additional leadership roles include Vice President of Operations at Gangavaram Port and Deputy General Manager of Operations at both Mundra Port & SEZ Ltd and Essar Logistics. Captain Gupta began a successful career in the maritime industry as a Captain with Sailing Experience from January 1991 to December 2006 after starting as a cadet with V Ships. Educational credentials include an MBA in Finance from Strathclyde Business School, an MBA in Logistics from Symbiosis Institute of Management Studies, and a Master Mariner qualification from Southshields, U.K, complemented by a Bachelor of Economics (Honours) from Shri Ram College of Commerce.
