Wachi Bandara

Wachi Bandara, PhD, is an experienced professional in the finance and technology sectors, currently serving as the Director of AI at DRW since August 2023. Previously, Wachi Bandara held the role of Partner and CIO at Exos Asset Management from June 2022 to July 2023, following the acquisition of Pluribus Labs by Exos Financial. Wachi Bandara co-founded Pluribus Labs LLC in May 2015 and served as Chief Investment Officer until its acquisition by Golden Gate Capital in 2017. Significant contributions include leading the integration of qualitative data into systematic investment processes and managing advanced data science teams. Prior experience encompasses roles at Mellon Capital, The George Washington University (as a doctoral fellow and adjunct professor), PCAOB, and various consulting positions. Wachi Bandara holds a PhD in Finance from The George Washington University, alongside multiple degrees in Finance and Applied Mathematics.
