Rafia Mohammed al Abbar

Rafia Mohammed Al Abbar is an experienced Human Resources professional with a career spanning over 20 years, currently serving as Senior Vice President and Head of Human Resources at Dubai Islamic Bank since June 2006. Rafia has held various leadership roles within the bank, including Vice President positions overseeing Talent Management, Learning & Development, Employee Services, and Recruitment. In these roles, responsibilities included developing HR strategies, leading talent development initiatives, managing recruitment processes, and implementing Emiratization programs. Prior to Dubai Islamic Bank, Rafia worked as an HR Officer at the Naturalization & Residency Department from January 2003 to May 2006. Rafia holds a Bachelor degree in E-Business Management from Dubai Women’s College, completed in 2005.
