Barbara Bufkin

Barbara Bufkin is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in the insurance and technology sectors. Currently serving as an Independent Director at Nuclear Electric Insurance Limited and a board member at multiple organizations including Duck Creek Technologies and Westfield, Barbara also contributes to Opterrix as a member of the Advisory Board. Barbara held the position of Senior Advisor at AmWINS Group until December 2023 and was previously the Executive Head of Business Development at Assurant. In addition to various board roles, Barbara serves as Chairwoman of APIW, Inc., and has been actively involved with the Insurance Industry Charitable Foundation, where contributions include Co-Chairing the I.D.E.A. Council and Chairing the International Board of Governors. Academic credentials include education from Wheaton College and the State University of New York at Buffalo.
